Laser & LED Hybrid Light Source

Our laser & LED hybrid light source is a unique design which combines a red LED with a blue laser to produce a light source which doesn’t diminish in brightness over time. This means that unlike lamps, the light source never needs replacing. It also eliminates the need to use toxic mercury. Click here to find out more about our unique technology.

Projector lamps typically need replacing after around 3,000 of usage. Expensive to replace, the costs can stack up quickly, often costing more than the initial price of the projector itself. Our hybrid light source can outlive lamps 10 times over whilst still delivering the image quality they did on day one.

Our unique laser & LED light source typically lasts in excess of 20,000 hours, which is the lifespan of the projector itself. Not only does it perform better than lamps but it eliminates the need to use mercury, a known toxin still commonplace in the manufacturing of lamps and light bulbs. 

Cost-effectiveness

With no consumables such as lamps and filters, combined with an efficient and low-maintenance design ensures that our projectors have a very low total cost of ownership. When kitting out a school or series of meeting rooms with a fleet of projectors, energy and maintenance costs stack up quickly, often outstripping the initial costs of the projectors themselves. Taking these costs into consideration is therefore crucial to make the best decision from the outset.

Thanks to a significantly more efficient light source, Casio projectors save on electricity costs without compromising on brightness. Whilst conventional projectors typically require about 270W of power to run, the Casio XJ-V100W for example, requires only 150W, even at full brightness. The difference could charge 24 smartphones; and that’s just one projector!

Smart features

This year, we launched a new range of projectors with a revolutionary new feature we call one-click connect. Enabling seamless collaboration in classrooms and meeting rooms, one-click connect allows up to 40 devices such as PCs and tablets to connect wirelessly and at the touch of a button. Using a moderator smartphone app, a user can select up to four devices to show on the projector. Screen-sharing instantly and frictionlessly encourages original thinking and collaboration among users, creating dynamic environments in both professional or educational setting.

Different ambient light conditions require different levels of brightness. Whilst well lit spaces call for more brightness to produce a vivid image, projection in dimly lit spaces has less ambient light to compete with and so a lower level a brightness is required. Therefore, we created an intelligent light control feature which automatically adjusts the level of brightness according to the surrounding conditions.

Don’t let projector warm-up times slow you down. Conventional projectors take in excess of 70 seconds from switching on to producing a clear image, eating into the start of a lesson or meeting. That’s why we make sure that every projector we manufacture switches on in just five seconds, keeping waiting time to an absolute minimum. Used on a daily basis, this can save hours of time over the course of a year.

Conventional projectors get hot, requiring fans to cool down, which in turn, require filters. Casio projectors are not only cooler, but we’ve designed them with a dust-resistant structure which completely eliminates the need for replaceable filters, keeping the projector running efficiently. It’s one less thing to think about.

Advanced networking functions means that it’s easy to centrally monitor a whole fleet of projectors across a site. Technicians can view temperature, status as well as powering up and down the projectors remotely which makes managing the energy consumption of a fleet of projectors straightforward so that you can optimise the efficiency of your AV equipment.
